Belgium vs Croatia
It’s Belgium vs Croatia on Sunday in an International Friendly, we take a look at the best stats and football tips.
International Friendlies take a step up over the weekend as most teams play their second and last friendly before Euro 2020 kicks off. Both Belgium and Croatia will be looking to step up preparations and get fine tuned for the tournament.
Belgium – Form
In their most recent match Belgium faced Finland in a very interesting match, it ended 1-1 and Finland missed a penalty. It wasn’t a full strength Belgium side but they did have Romelu Lukaku up top and a relatively strong defence. Thorgan Hazard scored the Belgium goal 20 minutes in and Greece equalized in the 66th minute. Belgium’s games prior to that were back in March, they beat Belarus 8-0, drew 1-1 with Czech Republic and beat Wales 3-1. That’s three out of four games where both teams scored and all three teams are arguably not up to the standard of Croatia.
Croatia – Form
The most recent match for Croatia was also a 1-1 draw, that was a Friendly against Armenia. Ivan Perisic grabbed the goal 24 minutes in assisted by the ever brilliant Luka Modric. Prior to that Croatia also played back in March beating Malta 3-0, Cyprus 1-0 and losing to Slovenia 1-0. Only two of Croatia’s last five have finished with both teams scoring but they went ten games in a row with both teams scoring before that which makes it an incredible twelve games out of fifteen.
It will come as no surprise we will be backing Both Teams to Score. Both sides score a lot of goals and neither side has performed well defensively.
