England vs Denmark – Euro 2020

    Euro 2020 – Wednesday 07th July 20.00

It’s England vs Denmark in the semi finals at Euro 2020. We take a look at the stats and best football tips.

England play Denmark in the semi finals at Euro 2020 and the winner plays Italy in the final. The two teams played each other twice in 2020, Denmark won 0-1 in October and the teams drew 0-0 in September.

The bookies are offering 3/4 on an England win, 12/5 on the draw and 9/2 for a Denmark win.

England put in an impressive performance against Ukraine to win 4-0 whilst Denmark beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in the quarter finals.

    England – PL 5 | Won 4 | GF 8 | GA 0

The Three Lions now have five clean sheets in a row and have started to improve in attack with 6 goals in their last two matches. The 4-0 win against Ukraine was impressive and England scored at the start of both halves which really calmed the nerves. Southgate has the system nailed down and players he has put his faith in such as Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling have repaid that and are coming into form at the right time. The worry is England are now expected to walk this game and they don’t actually have a very good recent record against Denmark. The majority of players are the same from those two games but England do seem to be growing in confidence and it feels like a different England side at the moment. I think it will be a tougher game than the majority of England fans realise but i do think England should get the job done.

    Denmark – PL 5 | Won 3 | GF 11 | GA 5

The Danes have been brilliant and have reacted very well to an extremely emotional and tough opening match against Finland where Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch. Thankfully he is doing well and the Denmark players appear to be inspired in giving their all for their teammate. Denmark are probably the team you don’t want to play at the moment as they are fueled by emotion and playing out of their skins. Denmark have been hitting plenty of shots and managed 7 on target in their quarter final.

    Key Stats (Average Per Match)

    • Shots – 17
    • Shots on Target – 7
    • Corners – 6.8
    • Cards – 0.8
    • Tackles – 6.2

    Shots on Target:

Betting Tips: This will be a tough game for England and the pressure is on with the final in touching distance. Previous games saw each team win at least 4 corners so that would be an area of interest and i expect the Danes to continue having plenty of shots.
